Its my turn this month to share my Craft space. My scrapbook room is small, and pretty organised. It's an open room at the back of our house apparently it use to be a laundry before they renovated the house. I'm really glad I have my own room, I was starting to overtake the lounge room :-)



Here is where all my paper goes and my Raskog full of my mixed media and sprays etc. On the second self I have paper bags, small paper pads, felt doilies and envelopes and the bottom shelf has rub ons, stickers, and a container full of mixed wooden buttons and resin flowers. I have my stencils hanging on my cupboard, which holds a lot of finished pages that need to go into albums. 



As my nearest Ikea store is 1000 kms away,  I picked this Expedit cubes up second hand on my local buy sell and swap facebook page. It holds my flowers in empty Moccona coffee jars, my albums ( that I need so many more of), my new picture mate, my Big shot, punches, flairs and washi tape. On the top I have my printer and some more flowers and a lot of projects I've made. The bottom shelf holds my dies and embossing folders, alpha sticks, Beyond the page things and more stamps that I don't even use. The plastic draws hold my chipboard, lace, enamel dots, pearls, bling, buttons, crochet bits, bows, leaves, twine, wire, inks, stamps, and stamp tools etc. Would really like to get the Alex draws from Ikea to put my stamps and inks in.


My desk is high as I like to stand and scrapbook. On my desk I have my laptop and my silhouette cameo, and my work desk I have my mat, cutter, light, craft caddy from Kaisercraft. Under my desk I have my adhesives, glue, coloured pens, my gelatos, die cut shapes still in there packets and various things in the bottom basket. The other side has my Dymo labeller, some note books with my colour samples of gelatos, inks etc, more die cuts, tags and empty jars I got from Coles yet to be filled. My sewing machine is under my desk and my heat gun is on a hook at reach also.



I love my little scrap room, it's my little place to go and create.

This is my turn to present my craft space this month.  My craft space is tiny, but i think I'm pretty organized.  So there it is:



This is my Raskog.  I bought it at IKEA.  I love it!  My medium are now well organized.  My only regrets: why I didn't take the Turquoise one?????  lol



This is my organisation for my embellishments.  I have several plano box (box for fishing accessories).  Each box contain a different colour and i have one for wood embellishments and one  for metal.  I love this organisation because, i easily find what fits on my page.

I also discover that I have a better use of my stuff.  I admit, you have to be a little bit disciplined, because you have to sort everything when you buy new stuff, but i worth it!  



The last thing that i love in my craft space is this book.  It's my medium inventory.   I found that, often, it's hard to properly judge the colour of a spray just by looking at the bottle.  So i made this book with a sample of all my medium.  When i need a particular colour, i look in my book.  Also, when i shop for new ones, it's fun, because i know exactly what i have.  




So this is my little heaven!

From the beginning of time, man has needed a place where he could relax, a place he could have as his own space.

The cave man had his cave..


Tarzan had his jungle.


Batman had his Bat-cave..


And men have their sheds..


Well I have my scrap room.. At first glance to the untrained eye my room may appear to look like this…



But when I walk into my space it feels like this..



It may appear to look like a mess, but to me everything is just where I need it to be.
And while I have a mish mash of cupboards and drawers, I do know where most things are.. I do however get a pleasant surprise on occasion when I discover a long lost range of papers or embellishments that just moved slowly into the back ground of my room design… So what does my space look like?..

I have a couple of photos so you can see where I sit and create..

Looking at my desk… ahhh I love that corner!! Everything is around me, I just have to swivel my chair!



One of my most used tools is my Big Shot that is just across from my desk and this gives me a reason to get up and stand to cut out my die cuts..



One other aspect of my scrap room that I enjoy and this helps in the process of creating and relaxing is the view out of my window which looks out into my garden. Often my horse walks by, or magpies dance across the lawn in search of food, and other birds sit in the tree for a rest out of the sun..



My dream is to one day have one of those scrap rooms with the matching cupboards and everything in lovely containers named with wonderful tags on the front, but for now I am happy to have this little place to call my own..

Hi Tania here and today it’s my turn to share my craft space with you all.
I’m lucky enough to have my very own little craft haven.

As you can see by the photos I am slightly obsessed with my craft room being neat and tidy and everything has it’s own special home



I also have to confess that I have a slight hoarding problem when it comes to flowers and ribbons, I have bowls of flowers and jars of ribbons on every available surface of the room!!
I keep all my basic kit, punches, heat tools, and extra stashes of adhesives in the drawers of my desk, so they are always on hand.

The boxes on the cube shelving is where I store everything else; from flowers, embellishments, stamps, bling, paints, chipboard, collectables, card/envelope packs to embossing powders, etc. I keep all my patterned papers organized by brands on a wooden paper holder.



I keep all my Distress Inks & Blending Tools, Distress Stains, and Distress Paints in wooden holders that were specifically made.



I also store a lot of my hand held punches on towel racks where they store perfectly. The drawers to the bottom of this picture are where all my Mixed Mediums, Sprays, Paints etc are kept along with more embellishments and other goodies. I keep all my trinkets, bling and smaller flowers in little glass jars.



Some larger glass jars full of bulkier bling and trinkets and yes you guessed it - more flowers and ribbons



This is probably the messy section of my room; it’s where I put all my random bits and pieces. It has all my cardstock, Magnolia Stamps, Copics, Stampin’ Up Stamps, Kaiser Patterned Papers, assorted paper pads, A4 cardstock, Stampin’ Up Inks and underneath where the photo does not show are all my Beyond the Page items.



This set of shelving is where I store all my dies for my Big Shot and Spellbinders Grand Calibur Machine. I keep all my stencils/masks, paper packs, scrap paper, and large chipboard items in the pink containers in the left of the photo.

Well I think that about covers my little craft haven…….

I was lucky enough to always have this room for my craft. Its original intention of use was a formal dining room. When we first moved in I just made do with old pieces of furniture from our old houses, that didn’t have a purpose in this new house. So it did look like a jumble sale or op shop for a long time.














Back in 2012 I decided to have it custom built, I used the builder from the company I work for who constructs our school uniform shops.
These photos are when he first completed it. I did have before photos but do you think I can find them!!!!














Then I filled it up with all my goodies. I was really happy how it looked like a little craft shop.
That was until I started using it. Then of cause it looked like a bomb had hit it. LOL.






 Hope you enjoyed looking at my favourite room. It is a joy to create in there.

Hello everyone, today I am going to take you on a walk around my scrappy area. I am fortunate enough to have my own room, which is actually a spare room but rarely gets used so that is quite lucky really.









 

Here is my what my desk area looks like (and yes I have cleaned it nicely especially for this room share.


 











The idea behind buying this writing desk was to be able to close it up when I am not using it, but that’s just far too much hassle so I leave it open most of the time and it’s normally a lot messier. Here is a close up of what I have in front of me when I am working



















So there are some essentials which I keep fairly close to me, on the right or left.










,

Right in front of me you can see some tins and circle tins, I keep all my flairs, enamel dots, rubons etc in the old Maya Road tins







 




  and then I used a metal spice rack which I put some of my sequence, wooden embellishments and bits and bobs in.











 I have used an old wooden crate (small one) for my collection of washi tape.











My Mists and Distress Inks are in a similar wooden crate which we received as a gift with a bottle of wine in it. Perfect use for mists and I slot in my favourite masks just behind it. 










To the left of me I have a little shelf which contains my Alpha’s (in a plastic box), my washi tape, my mixed media stuff and just general stickers / embellishments - and right next to that on the floor I keep my 12x12 papers in a plastic box which is perfect for 12x12 pp’s. 


and last but not least, I have created a banner on the wall next to me where I can hang up some of my favourite layouts to inspire me. As you can see my space isn’t that large, but it’s my space to retreat to and create.

Hi Rikki here with this months ‘’where do you create?. I am very lucky to have my own space in what would be the formal lounge room (seriously who uses this room?), so it is now known as my work room…..
An over view of the space…..
 
I may have a ‘’slight’’ washi addiction but it looks soooooooooooooooooooo pretty and neat I am a bit of a neat freak when it comes to my space. The washi holder sits on top of completed photo albums, which there are over 25 completed in year order.
 
Cant go past Tim Holtz inks and refills and I love my holder for them ……. See neat freak!!!!

I am very lucky my hubby made me some custom shelving to hold my paper stash, so I just drew up my plans with all the detail …..
 
My Mixed media trolley I love that it can wheel right next to me and its perfect for a quick clean up.

I have my tech centre, computer and my latest addition is my light box so no more chasing the sun to photograph the layouts.

Stamp storage all neat, flat and tucked away in the boxes on my shelves.

Photo Storage dust free and great to grab for crops….

And last but not least….. my wall for my work which I change time to time, love these frames they are plastic and allow for flexing with bulky layouts , from Ikea.

So hope you have enjoyed a little insight to where the mojo flows when its flowing.
