and some totally amazing inspiration from our amazing 2020 team ...

Tracey Campbell (Australia)
Going back 9 years with these photos, when lime was announced as the colour this month I knew I had to pull these photos of Paige out from her 1st Birthday. I loved her in the green gingham dress with her strawberry blonde hair, both ate long gone now.

Toni Herron (Australia)
Lime Chaser was a fun colour challenge for me. I had the perfect Lime papers, but they got a bit lost together. I threw in a slightly darker Lime and it all just went “pow”. The multiple textured elements on this layout will have your hand running over it for ages!

Annemarie Caister (New Zealand)
I turned this page around to accommodate a portrait photo. This sketch was great for using up scraps of papers which I embossed with some of my embossing folders in my stash then lightly dragged an ink pad over to highlight the embossing.

Julie Schinkel (Australia)
Playing off the sketch, I decided to make my own background using texture stamps rather than different patterned papers. Teamed with a bright lime green background made for a great boys page.

Laurie Leahey (USA)
Used embossing powder and a stencil for the background.

Jane Taylor (England UK)

Emma Zapponne (Australia)
I decided to cut strips of old paper for the ‘patchwork’ look and then used oil pastels to add the pop of colour

Brenda Caldow (Australia)

Theresa Kamp (Australia)

Jane Howden (Australia)

Our sponsor this month is ...

"Hi,  I am Jodi, Owner/Designer at Corbett Creations Wood Veneers.  My laser cutting business came about because I would be constantly frustrated that I couldn't find the perfect title or embellishment to finish off layouts, projects or gifts.  I would then spend far too long trying to create the perfect embellishment and would sometimes rope my husband in to help me with all this cool tools in the man shed!  He has a love for wood also and together we purchased our laser.  I love being able to design and cut the perfect piece for someone to finish telling their story - the perfect title, the hard to find themed embellishment, a custom piece for the home or a meaningful gift, really makes me feel so happy because I know that their search is over and they have the perfect piece that they desired.  I love to create in wood, chipboard, cardstock, paper and acrylic with so many different mediums I can create so many embellishments and titles - the possibilities are endless.

Good luck with your entries in the challenge, I look forward to seeing everyone's work.

Our March guest ...

Please welcome our lovely guest designer for March, Sonia Lanosch, with her delightful take on our colour scheme and moodboard for this month.

I have always wanted to do a craft but being visually impaired I found it hard to find something that I could see to do at the level I wanted to achieve. 6 years ago, my sister took me to a card making class, and I have never looked back. I just love it! Unlike most people who can see all the detail, my work is based not just on what I can see but very much on feel and touch and my other senses, including my gut feelings.

After putting my hand to card making and then designing my own cards the next progression has been off the page projects where I have been able to express a different side of myself. I am now really enjoying experimenting with layouts in my own unique way. I love inspirational messages that can touch you and help you remember the little things. I feel all my designs can be adapted to include a photo.

Thank you so much for asking me to be a Guest Designer this month. X Sonia

Welcome to our March challenge

  Introducing ....

We hope you like our inclusion of a mood board to help inspire you ... we'd love to see some element or idea (think shapes, textures, theme) taken from here to add to your page.

and some totally amazing inspiration from our amazing 2020 team ...
(in no particular order)

Julie Schinkel (Australia)
I played off the soft pink fairy floss for my background and colouring.

Laurie Leahey (USA)
Pinks are easy when you have nothing but girl pictures! I used some Crate Paper and Scrap Accent products on this layout. Kept things kind of simple.

Jane Taylor (England UK)
Lots of flowers to pick up on the roses, the title position to reflect the straw, and fluffy pink stencilling for the candyfloss and milkshake.

Brenda Caldow (Australia)

Theresa Kamp (Australia)
This is a simple layout using different fibres, lace, ribbon, tulle and cobweb, along with ink splatters to highlight the challenge colour.  I have also used 2 photos cutting out the image silhouette of one and layering over the other photo.  Add some pretty flowers and I "ADORE" this layout.

Tracey Campbell (Australia)
I've been wanting to use this photo of my youngest daughter Paige for awhile now but could never find the right colour combination for it. But using just Fairy Floss Pink was perfect!!

Annemarie Caister (New Zealand)
This is my favourite photo of my Mother as a child. I used papers and fussy cut elements from Kaisercraft Lady Like collection. I painted the chipboard frame pale pink and added an embossed chipboard title and pale pink roses and twine to embellish my layout.

Toni Herron (Australia)
coming soon

Emma Zapponne (Australia)

Jane Howden (Australia)
No better time to use a pretty pink for a little Princess page with lots of flowers of course!

Our February Guest ...

Please welcome Karen Brierley (Australia) as our February guest designer, with her beautiful layout based on our colour scheme and sketch this month.

Thank you so much for the guest spot at White... with 1. About me: I live in a semi-rural area on bush acreage in South East Queensland with my husband, dog, and an assortment of chickens and Australian wildlife. I also have a teenage daughter who has recently ventured out into the adult world on her own.

I enjoy sharing my scrapping creations online with like-minded people. Scrap challenges motivate me and give me focus. My favourite techniques are machine stitching and doodling, and you'll usually see one or the other on my pages. If you take a peek at my blog you can see my current and previous creations.
