  Introducing ....

We hope you like our inclusion of a mood board to help inspire you ... we'd love to see some element or idea (think shapes, textures, theme) taken from here to add to your page.

and some totally amazing inspiration from our amazing 2020 team ...
(in no particular order)

Tracey Campbell (Australia)
Pulling out an old photo for this one. When I saw the blue I automatically thought of my Sweet 16 Bithday Dress. Big hair, big dress.... must be the 80s!

Laurie Leahey (USA)
I inked behind the photos and punched the blue circles out of a patterned paper. I think they look like bubbles, but they also reminded me of the beads in the mood board.

Jane Taylor (England UK)

Brenda Caldow (Australia)

Annemarie Caister (New Zealand)
Lots of lace, distressed layers, flower clusters, bling and pearls in the centre of filler flowers to create a shabby chic layout

Toni Herron (Australia)
I believe we should never be afraid to feature flowers on a male layout! This fun colour was perfect to capture the feeling of our first “White Christmas” Aussie style at Movie World.

Theresa Kamp (Australia)
My beautiful Grand Daughter Anastatia showing me how independent she is.
Used some clear texture paste and sprinkled it with some snow sparkles.
Really made the Ice background effective and it is so sparkly!

Jane Howden (Australia)

Please welcome our lovely guest designer for April,  Kristina Wurmbrand from Switzerland with her amazing take on our colour scheme and sketch for this month.

Courtesy of PAGE MAPS

My name is Kristina, I am a mother of two children and an enthusiastic do-it-yourselfers.

The photographs from my family inspired me to do this. Scrapbooking is the best way to e.g. capture photos, children's drawings and memorable events by adding lovely details, symbols, texts, notes, stories, etc. A lot of additional information for future generations can be captured with a photo.

I got interested in this hobby even before my son was born and have been practicing this craft for over ten years. I prefer to do "traditional scrapbooking". I also enjoy designing my own postcards. It is form me a kind of meditation and therapy to work with colors and textures. The mixed media techniques allows you to get a lot of interesting and exciting results by simply trying them out.

Tracey Campbell (Australia)
Going back 9 years with these photos, when lime was announced as the colour this month I knew I had to pull these photos of Paige out from her 1st Birthday. I loved her in the green gingham dress with her strawberry blonde hair, both ate long gone now.

Toni Herron (Australia)
Lime Chaser was a fun colour challenge for me. I had the perfect Lime papers, but they got a bit lost together. I threw in a slightly darker Lime and it all just went “pow”. The multiple textured elements on this layout will have your hand running over it for ages!

Annemarie Caister (New Zealand)
I turned this page around to accommodate a portrait photo. This sketch was great for using up scraps of papers which I embossed with some of my embossing folders in my stash then lightly dragged an ink pad over to highlight the embossing.

Julie Schinkel (Australia)
Playing off the sketch, I decided to make my own background using texture stamps rather than different patterned papers. Teamed with a bright lime green background made for a great boys page.

Laurie Leahey (USA)
Used embossing powder and a stencil for the background.

Jane Taylor (England UK)

Emma Zapponne (Australia)
I decided to cut strips of old paper for the ‘patchwork’ look and then used oil pastels to add the pop of colour

Brenda Caldow (Australia)

Theresa Kamp (Australia)

Jane Howden (Australia)

"Hi,  I am Jodi, Owner/Designer at Corbett Creations Wood Veneers.  My laser cutting business came about because I would be constantly frustrated that I couldn't find the perfect title or embellishment to finish off layouts, projects or gifts.  I would then spend far too long trying to create the perfect embellishment and would sometimes rope my husband in to help me with all this cool tools in the man shed!  He has a love for wood also and together we purchased our laser.  I love being able to design and cut the perfect piece for someone to finish telling their story - the perfect title, the hard to find themed embellishment, a custom piece for the home or a meaningful gift, really makes me feel so happy because I know that their search is over and they have the perfect piece that they desired.  I love to create in wood, chipboard, cardstock, paper and acrylic with so many different mediums I can create so many embellishments and titles - the possibilities are endless.

Good luck with your entries in the challenge, I look forward to seeing everyone's work.
