Welcome to May ...

Putting this up a day early as I will be away having a short break ... so welcome to May and our MINT Moodboard with USE THIS element of Stitching.

USE THIS criteria -  Stitching (as much as a little as you like)

This year we are continuing with using a base colour and allowing you to use any variation of that colour you might like to use - light, dark, colour ranges just so long as we can tell it IS the monthly colour.  Of course you MUST use a majority of white on your page - the easiest way to achieve this is to use a white cardstock background but that is up to you.

We are also introducing a simple monthly "Use this" criteria for you to include on your entry.

You can use black, dark brown, grey or navy as your accent colour for journaling, titles etc and we will allow green if part of a floral pattern.  We'd love to see you take inspiration from this board and incorporate items you see and inspire you - perhaps you like butterflies or clouds, like to use herringbone patterns, or have a stash of buttons to use up.  You might see a phrase you can incorporate into your page, or just love the colour. Please mention what inspired you on your entry.

and now some totally amazing inspiration from our wonderful 2023 team ...
(in no particular order)

Victoria King (Australia)
I was inspired by the circles of the watch, buttons and the bike.
This is the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque in Istanbul.

Heather Bensley (Australia)

Karen Guy (Australia)
My inspiration were the buttons - added a few butterflies and lots of fancy stitching with ribbons and threads!

Karen Brierley (Australia)
I was drawn to the buttons ... I never need any excuse to raid my button stash!

Tracey Beer (Australia)
Inspired by the chess pieces. Machine stitching on page and hand stitching on tag.

Theresa Kamp (Australia)
We wish Theresa well in her recovery from a broken arm and hope to see her back with us soon.

Amanda Moran (Australia)
Machine stitching and hand stitching on this minty layout from Melbourne Cup luncheon last year. Butterflies and buttons also feature ðŸ¦‹

Jane Howden (Australia)
I was inspired by the buttons, bird and butterflies to help create this page - stitching my buttons with white thread.  There is also faux stitching on the square card. Launceston in December, it looked so inviting but the water was icy!

This year we will have one main prize each month selected by random draw.

This is open to all entrants so anyone could be a winner however should an international winner be selected I reserve the right to offer a store gift card in lieu of a physical prize.

Plus there will be a special "Admin Choice" winner who will receive an invitation to guest with us next month.

To enter please visit our Facebook public group White with 1 challenges and put your entry directly into our monthly album under media.

All entries must be new for this challenge and the original work of the entrant. Please remember we are a layout only challenge - cards, OTP or pocket page entries (etc) are not eligible for prizes. Please also remember you may ONLY combine your challenge with a sketch challenge. Your entry must be predominantly white with the one extra colour added - small amounts of brown, navy or black may be used for contrast and we will allow green if part of a floral pattern. International entries are welcome.

We'd love to see how you use our White with 1 colour combination this month. Please come and join in with us! You have until the end of the month to get your entry in.
