Welcome to April ...

Welcome to April and our RED Moodboard.

This year we are continuing with using a base colour and allowing you to use any variation of that colour you might like to use - light, dark, colour ranges just so long as we can tell it IS the monthly colour.  Of course you MUST use a majority of white on your page - the easiest way to achieve this is to use a white cardstock background but that is up to you.

We are also introducing a simple monthly "Use this" criteria for you to include on your entry.

You can use black, dark brown, grey or navy as your accent colour for journaling, titles etc and we will allow green if part of a floral pattern.  We'd love to see you take inspiration from this board and incorporate items you see and inspire you - perhaps you like hearts, birds or stripes, love using a circle or two or want to incorporate some writing into your page.  You might think this moodboard will work nicely for a transport related page, or one about fashion? Whatever it might be please mention what inspired you on your entry.

USE THIS criteria -  STENCILS

and now some totally amazing inspiration from our wonderful 2023 team ...
(in no particular order)

Heather Bensley (Australia)
I used the circles, also the squares from the quilt. I also picked up on the circles, stripes and the hearts. For the stencilling I added texture paste circles.

Karen Guy (Australia)
My inspiration was the Poppy flower and the Script, so a little script stencil work and some leaves stenciled around my Poppy wreath.

Karen Brierley (Australia)
I started with the shiny red vehicle (I used a bus) and a stencilled background. Other mood board prompts - circles, stripes and cursive journalling.

Victoria King (Australia)
Well I went looking for a photo of a red car to go with the mood board and couldn’t go past this gorgeous scooter that sat perfectly with the flowers in the window.

Theresa Kamp (Australia)
Inspired by the love headlights for the photo of my grandparents wedding, poppies are some of my flowers and the Mandela pattern on the plates and bowls. My stencil was applied with texture paste and also Distress oxide ink.

Amanda Moran (Australia)
Two circle stencils and circular die cut and you can see where I got my inspiration from 😉 The circles of the saucers and teacups + the text from the handwriting prompted this layout.

Tracey Beer (Australia)

Jane Howden (Australia)
Inspired by the circles and flowers.

In 2023 we will have one main prize each month selected by random draw.

This is open to all entrants so anyone could be a winner however should an international winner be selected I reserve the right to offer a store gift card in lieu of a physical prize.

Plus there will be a special "Admin Choice" winner who will receive an invitation to guest with us next month.

To enter please visit our Facebook public group White with 1 challenges and put your entry directly into our monthly album under media.

All entries must be new for this challenge and the original work of the entrant. Please remember we are a layout only challenge - cards, OTP or pocket page entries (etc) are not eligible for prizes. Please also remember you may ONLY combine your challenge with a sketch challenge. Your entry must be predominantly white with the one extra colour added - small amounts of brown, navy or black may be used for contrast and we will allow green if part of a floral pattern. International entries are welcome.

We'd love to see how you use our White with 1 colour combination this month. Please come and join in with us! You have until the end of the month to get your entry in.
