Welcome to our very first challenge of 2020 and the new decade.
Introducing ....
We hope you like our inclusion of a mood board to help inspire you ... we'd love to see some element or idea (think shapes, textures, theme) taken from here to add to your page.
and some totally amazing inspiration from our amazing 2020 team ...
(in no particular order)
Annemarie Caister (New Zealand)
I was inspired by the wood and stones in the mood board. I stamped the wood pieces in Distress Oxide Hicory Smoke using a Kaisercraft stamp, fussy cut lots of stone pieces from Kaisercraft Morning Due paper collection and added art stones to complete the look.
Jane Taylor (England UK)
Julie Schinkel (Australia)
Laurie Leahey (USA)
For this challenge, I decided to use pictures taken this summer at the St. Louis Arch. The Arch is silver/grey, which I thought fit perfectly with the color for this challenge. To accent my patterned papers, I added some old Tim Holtz feather rub-ons along with some stamped branches in a purply grey. I didn't have too much of this color in my stash, so that's why this page turned out very clean and simple.
Theresa Kamp (Australia)
I love the colour of the January mood board. Gives me a chance to scrap the many photos of my daughters engagement shoot, so many lovely black and white photos. I think the nature elements are reflected very well in the photos on this layout and also the subtle softness of the yarn is reflected thru the flowers and poses in the photos.
Toni Herron (Australia)
My 2 Kings - Influenced by the recent fires in my town, I decided to use both the light & dark shade of grey that smoke can throw out. I started by making my own background with a woodgrain stamp and “Pumice Stone” ink with a couple more stamps too. I couldn’t find any wool, but added some white & grey twine for the same texture experience. A last touch I loved and makes quite an impact on the page is the embossing powder that I have left dry to represent the Pebbles in the mood board.

All four items on the mood board have been used as inspiration for embellishing my page.

We have over 800 designs to choose from so there is something suitable for all pages! We are about to start having new releases every month (or maybe every 2 months) so there will be more added to the collection all the time, by liking our FB page you will always be kept up to date with whats new. We are also working on a website and more items to add to our stock. At the moment youcan shop through our FB page by going to photos then looking through the albums which are in categories to make selecting the right flair set easy. All sets of 3 flairs are $3.00 plus postage. We are also on Instagram and have just started a challenge group so we would love you to join...monthly prizes up for grabs. We are very proud to support and sponsor other challenge groups and love to show case our flairs at Retreats. Over the last 12 months we have given away many, many sets of flairs for various Scrap book pages, challenge groups and retreats. Scrap booking is our life!
