Our June guest designer ...

Please welcome our June guest designer, LISETTE SMITH with her really striking take on our Black and White BOLD challenge this month.

I have been scrapping for over 20 years and crafting for much longer. I split my crafting time between scraping and quilting. I’m also involved in my local netball association. With two adult daughters it’s time for hubby and I to do more travel. Our travels feature in my scraping. My style is always evolving. I love using stencils and sprays and always lean towards bright colours.

 It took me a while to get my head around this black and white challenge, but I am so happy with my final layout.

Welcome to June ...

Welcome to our June challenge, gosh I cannot believe how fast this year is flying past, into our sixth month already and the start of Winter here in Australia.

We had some wonderful music inspired entries last month - so great to see so many inspirational pages.

This year we will be using a base colour (or allowing you to select your own) in any variation of that one colour you might like to use - light, dark, colour ranges just so long as we can tell it IS your monthly colour choice. Please follow the simple monthly criteria.

Use BLACK and WHITE on a WHITE (or predominantly white) background to create your layout using elements from the moodboard as inspiration.

THEME for May – MUSIC theme

I grew up in England and moved to US in 1975. I started scrapping around 2001 when I was introduced to it by a friend after the third of my 6 children joined our family. I moved to Australia in 2008 and currently live in SE QLD. I love the chance to be creative and make beautiful pages, but for me the photos (and their memories) are the stars. It’s the pictures on the layouts that are most important for me. I scrap my family. The big events and the silly moments. I love documenting our travels and family milestones. Working on scrapbooks is a way to relive and remember our family life.

Welcome to our May challenge. We certainly had some delightful nature themed challenge entries last month - lovely to see so many out and about pages.

This year we will be using a base colour (or allowing you to select your own) in any variation of that one colour you might like to use - light, dark, colour ranges just so long as we can tell it IS your monthly colour choice. Please use white cardstock as your base and follow the simple monthly criteria.

Went to see the John Waters production of Radio Luxembourg earlier this year and toed taped and jigged my way through some 60's favourites. Fun times had by all !

My name is Lisa-Marie; I live in leafy Durbanville, which is in the Western Cape, South Africa.  I live here with my daughter Isabella and my life partner Andre.  I have been scrapping for 11 or 12 years, give or take - I have lost count!  I love using lots of layering and ephemera on my layouts and tend to always do single pages, which predominantly feature the love of my life - my daughter!
