Welcome to August ...

Our colour this month is a tribute to Daffodil day - 24 August

Daffodil Day is one of Australia’s best known and most popular fundraising events.
Each day more than 100 Australians will die of cancer. Daffodil Day raises funds for Cancer Council to continue its work in cancer research, providing patient support programs and prevention programs to all Australians. Daffodil Day helps grow hope for better treatments, hope for more survivors, hope for a cure.
To Cancer Council, the daffodil represents hope for a cancer-free future. You too can help in the fight against cancer by participating in Daffodil Day. Daffodil Day merchandise is on sale throughout August, and you can donate to Daffodil Day at any time.

... introducing

We hope you like our inclusion of a sketch courtesy of PageMaps to help inspire you further. You don't have to use this to put in an entry but we'd love it if you do :)

and some totally amazing inspiration from our wonderful team ...

(in no particular order)

Jessica Toulmin (New Zealand)
I flipped the sketch so that my subject was looking toward the centre of the page and not off it. Otherwise everything else pretty much follows the sketch. It was great to be able to use up a whole bunch of machinery elements that were in my stash, and everything was actually yellow! I added some of them under a piece of vellum for a soft touch, and that vellum was yellow too! I really thought I would struggle with this layout (everybody knows i'm not a yellow/ orange/ red person) but following the sketch made it quick and easy.

Melinda France (Australia)
is having a short break but will be back with us soon

"That Smile" - Finally one of those layouts that just happened. I pulled a bunch of yellow items from my stash and turned them into this! Love it!

This year we have three amazing sponsors ..

You have a chance to win either a delightful product pack from THE RESIN RAINBOW for one lucky Australian / New Zealand entrant or a store voucher for an International entrant. The winner will be selected by random draw so anyone could be a winner.

Don't forget to pop past their ETSY STORE for more wonderful embellishments available in a rainbow of colours - you are sure to find something that catches your eye. You can also see more gorgeous creations on INSTAGRAM.

One lucky entrant each month will receive a delightful selection of crafting products from THE SCRAPBOOKER'S CONFETTI BOX. Some amazing supplies are available from their lovely STORE located in Swansea (near Newcastle NSW). The winner of this wonderful prize will be chosen by creative team vote.

You have a chance to win an amazing kit from SCRAPPING FUN KITS. One of these delightful monthly kits will be put aside for an Australian / New Zealand entrant who will be chosen by random draw, so anyone could be a winner.

Owner Raelene Cous has done a lovely page using supplies from her August and September kits and one item from an older kit. Order and pay for the August and September kits and I will ship the September kit with your August kit so you get it nice and early and can use it to create a project for the White with 1 Challenge if you wish. The offer is open to Australian residents only due to delays in International shipping. I recommend ordering within the week to ensure your kits get to you with plenty of time to create.

Our INTERNATIONAL voted winner will receive a delightful mystery embellishment pack courtesy of White..with 1.

For your chance to win a prize from these great sponsors please link the photo of your layout to the Inlinkz gallery on the left and use your own name and country in the area that says 'Name/Description" eg. Sally Smith (AUS). No blog?  That's fine - please add your page to our Facebook gallery instead.

All entries must be new for this challenge and the original work of the entrant. You may combine our challenge with a sketch challenge only - no other combining will be accepted and please remember we are a layout only challenge - cards, OTP, pocket pages etc are not eligible for prizes. Your entry must be predominantly white with the one extra colour added - small amounts of brown, navy or black may be used for contrast. International entries are welcome. Please see our full list of rules HERE.

We'd love to see how you use our White ... with 1 colour combination this month. Please come and join in with us! You have until 11.55pm on the last day of the month to get your entry in.
